Make your kid’s Christmas extra special this year with these fabulous present sacks from Harrow & Green.
I know it’s still only October. And I know most of us are still planning our Halloween celebrations, trying to decide how late to leave buying the trick or treat sweets so we don’t consume our body weight in sugary-goodies several times over before October 31st. But not leaving it so late that all the bags of lollies have vanished from the supermarket shelves.
Maybe it’s just me (and Jon) that can’t be trusted to keep tubs of sweets in the house!
So, yes, I know it’s still early. And, yes, I’m usually very much allergic to thinking about Christmas before December. Mid-December. Well about a week before the big man is due to arrive if I’m being totally honest.
I am the worst at planning ahead. Trust me. If you read my first ever blog post, then you’ll know that I’m fairly rubbish at getting things organised ahead of time.
But I also know that there are lots of mamas out there who are already sitting back and totally chilled out about December 25th, safe in the knowledge that they’ve already finished their Christmas shopping.
I know! Finished. Already! Who are these people? I desperately need them in my life.
In just ten short weeks it will be Christmas. In fact, in exactly ten weeks it will be Boxing Day.
The presents will have been opened. The Prossecco popped. The turkey devoured. The Queen’s speech watched. The karaoke sung. And there will have already been at least nine-hundred-and-eleventy arguments between your precious little angels about whose turn it is to play with *insert toy name here.*
So in just ten weeks, you’ll be nursing a headache and wondering why you’ve put on 3.17kg since Monday.
Right, now we’ve got that out of the way, would you like to know how to make your kid’s Christmas extra special this year?
Thought so.
Finishing Touches
I’m not a massive fan of wrapping presents. It’s absolutely not my idea of fun. But I also dislike sloppily-wrapped gifts.
If gifts are to be wrapped then they need to look beautiful. Like some thought has gone into it. Not like they fell from Santa’s sleigh at a great height as he zooms around the planet with Rudolph on Christmas Eve.
Nope. Gifts should be wrapped to delight the eye, as well as heightening the anticipation of what delights may be waiting inside.
So you’ve wrapped the presents. You’re happy with how they look. You’ve taken a photo to share on Instagram: #santacame
You’re all done right? Wrong. You definitely need to add the finishing touches.
Harrow & Green
Last year GinGin & Roo were gifted a pair of beautiful Christmas sacks from the fabulous team over at Harrow & Green. If you’ve not heard of them before, then do check them out.
They make the most wonderful Christmas sacks – along with lots of other delightful gift ideas – that really add that extra special Christmas magic.
What’s even better is that their products can be personalised. So GinGin & Roo both received a hessian “Letterpress” Christmas sack with Ticking Trim, and each one had their name on it.

These Christmas sacks are just so gorgeous. And they’re pretty sizeable too (80cm x 50cm) so you can fit all sorts of different presents in there. Big and small.
They really added to the magic of the festive season. GinGin loved the idea that we were sending her sack off to Santa. And, if she’d been a good girl, she’d find it full of pressies on Christmas morning.
You should have seen her face when she discovered her sack of presents on Christmas Day last year. She was beaming with joy. And she loved pulling her gifts out from the sack.
Roo did too.
Why I Love Them
I was really impressed with the quality of the sacks, especially the finishing touches, such as the high-quality grosgrain ribbon along with a personalised name and choice of festive fabric trim, which captures the magic of Christmas and makes it an everlasting gift. They’re very well made and they’ll last for years and years.
There are lots of different designs to choose from too, as well as mini-sacks for Secret Santa gifts.
Harrow & Green also do Christmas stockings too. They have a unique range of personalised stockings to celebrate the festivities in style. From the more traditional tartan, through to the luxurious merino wool and cashmere mix, and even a brand new exclusive corduroy one – there’s one to suit every need and style.
So if you’re looking to add a touch of luxury and tradition to make your child’s Christmas even more special this year, then you need to order your Christmas sacks from Harrow & Green. Kate Middleton has them for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and now Prince Louis as well. Just saying.
These Christmas sacks are great fun. I love their traditional styling. And I can’t wait to use them again this year.
Don’t wait to order yours – remember there’s only ten weeks till Christmas! xx
